Jeddah PCG releases advisory on Houthi missiles targeting Makkah and Jeddah

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah has released an advisory about the recent reports of interception of two Houthi missiles which targeted Makkah and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In the advisory, Jeddah PCG said that Filipinos who are staying in the targeted city and neighboring areas should remain “calm but vigilant for any eventualities.”

Jeddah PCG also advises Filipinos to stay at home and prevent going to public places. It stated: “Our kababayans in these areas are further advised to limit unnecessary visits to government offices and public places unless urgent.”

On Monday, Saudi Arabia reported that it had intercepted two missiles in targeting Mecca and Jeddah fired by Houthi rebels from Yemen. The missiles were intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi air forces.
