ConGen vows to provide more efficient services in 2019

Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes, saying that 2018 “provided many challenges for the Filipino to rise above their levels and prove their worth to the multicultural fabric in the UAE,” vowed to “continue working onempowering (them) to be better versions of themselves and role models for generations to come.”

“As 2019 ushers in, we hope that the overseas Filipinos continue to play a more empowered and proactive role in our vision of nation building,” said Cortes in his New Year’s message to the community.

Through the consulate’s programs and activities, Cortes said the mission hopes to “build a new base of overseas Filipinos who are entrepreneurial and innovative in mindset.”

Likewise, he said, his office “takes the community hand in hand with our goal to promote awareness of our culture, arts, and heritage among the many other ethnicities and nationalities in this country. We are one with the community as we nurture our overseas Filipino youth and prepare them for greater heights as global citizens,” said Cortes.
