Dubai Crown Prince urges Dubai residents to join Dubai Fitness Challenge

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, is known for his love for sports and healthy lifestyle.

Now, the Crown Prince of Dubai is encouraging all residents, visitors, government organizations, businesses, and schools to take part in the month-long 2018 Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC).

DFC is a fitness movement that the Crown Prince first launched in 2017 and for this year, it will run from October 26 to November 24.

HH Sheikh Hamdan has been using social media platforms, such as Snapchat and Instagram, to help achieve his goal of reaching one million participants for this year’s DFC.

“My vision for the Dubai Fitness Challenge was to create a truly inclusive movement across our city and the wider UAE, to sustainably enhance the health and long-term well-being of people of all ages, abilities, and levels of fitness.

“This year, we have a target of one million participants and I urge you all — residents and visitors — to invest in yourselves and your happiness — so you can better contribute to the welfare of your families, your communities and the global society. Take this opportunity, join the challenge and let’s move towards collectively making Dubai the most active city in the world,” HH Sheikh Hamdan said.

The Dubai Crown Prince is calling Dubai residents, regardless of age and fitness ability, to take 30 minutes every day to get moving for the DFC.

“I look forward to seeing Dubai fully engaged with DFC, making sport and fitness an active part of its daily life, and being a model for other global cities,” HH Sheikh Hamdan said.

For those who are interested to take HH Sheikh Hamdan’s challenge and join DFC, they can do so by registering by downloading the Dubai Fitness Challenge App.
