Asir, a region in Saudi Arabia, was covered in snow following heavy rainfalls and a drop in the region’s temperature.
The region experienced a mix of rainfall and snow for six hours which resulted in mountains and landscapes in the region to be covered in snow, most visible in Al Hussein and Al Omar valleys, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Other cities and places in the region including the main city of Abha and surrounding districts Khamis Mushayt, Sarat Ubaida, Tarib, Nimas, Tanumah, Bisha, Sawdah, Khaybar Al-Janoub, Al-Jawa, Al-Urqeen, Shaaf, Qadra Ida’da, Al Yazeed and Al Sarhan also experienced rainfalls and snow.
Residents were advised to follow civil defense instructions and to avoid roads covered in flood and snow.
