The UAE’s capital moved two spots since last year to be ranked the second best city in the world, Ipsos City Index reported.
Abu Dhabi was named a top city to live, work, and do business in, according to participants surveyed from 26 countries worldwide. The city garnered 21 percent, just 2 percent short to New York’s ranking, which retained its title as the best city in the world.
As tourism in the Capital continuous to rise, more international visitors will experience what the city has to offer, said Saif Saeed Ghobash, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, TCA Abu Dhabi.
“As we leverage the wealth of Abu Dhabi’s cultural heritage sites, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Al Ain, and the forthcoming opening of Louvre Abu Dhabi, we are confident that our position on the map of leading cities will continue to be cemented,” Ghobash added.
The Gulf city bested other major cities including London, Paris, Sydney, and Hong Kong.
