Abu Dhabi Police (ADP), in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), distributed 2,000 iftar meals to members of frontliners, drivers, and other road users in the spirit of Ramadan.
The first operation of the drive titled ‘Salamat’ was conducted at all security points in Gantot.
Aside from distributing meals, members of the police force also reminded motorists to adhere to all precautionary and preventive measures against COVID-19 at all times.
In a statement, ADP said following the COVID-19 protocol “affirms that community’s togetherness is a key pillar in the success of the state’s efforts to combat the spread of the infection”.
They also advise the public to focus their attention on the road while behind the wheel.
