African gang lures man in Dubai in fake massage service, robs AED40,500

A criminal court in Dubai is now hearing the case of a 27-year-old African woman after she was arrested, along with six other accomplices after they assaulted and robbed a man in one of Dubai’s apartments.

The group reportedly stole AED40,500 from the man who was lured for fake massage only to end up with an African gang.

In a report on Gulf Today, the incident took place last November when the defendant fooled the man for a fake massage service by sending a photo of a Russian woman on WhatsApp.

The victim didn’t have any suspicion and has availed the massage service.

The defendant then gave the apartment’s address to the victim. Upon arrival, he was immediately brought inside the apartment and had been surrounded by the woman’s accomplices.

The defendant grabbed the man in the back while the others started beating the victim and asked for his wallet and money.

They also took the man’s credit card and pressured him to get the password and withdrew money.

A total of AED40,500 were stolen from the man before he was let go of the apartment.

The victim then went to the police station and reported the incident. The police were able to immediately arrest the suspect.

The defendant denied any knowledge on her so-called accomplices, and she is now facing robbery and assault charges.
