A man in his 50s was arrested in Singapore recently after refusing to wear a mask and berating at the staff of the metro, AsiaOne reported.
The man went viral on social media recently after he was seen in a series of videos drunk and verbally abusing the staff for asking him to wear a mask. According to an eyewitness, had been drinking prior to the incident.
In one of the videos, he was seen screaming at people appealing to him to put on a face mask. Some employees explained to him that it is a safety precaution against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
He, however, continued yelling at them, challenging them to call the cops and asking: “Everyone else is wearing, why I still have to wear?”
The man was arrested for causing public annoyance and using abusive language against a public servant, according to the police.
