Aside from skateboarding, Filipina gold medalist Margielyn Didal has showcased another talent – keeping her fellow Filipino athletes entertained.
In a video posted on Facebook, Didal is seen acting as the bus conductor inside the Philippine team’s shuttle while shouting “Cubao! Cubao!”.
Didal also inserted paper bills in between her fingers like a true bus conductor asking the passengers to show their bus ticket or else they have to get off the bus.
One of the notable passengers in bus who was seen in the video was Gilas coach Yeng Guiao who asked Didal what she would do with her money.
The athlete responded by saying that she would have her family’s home in Cebu City renovated. She also joked about applying as a bus conductor as a part-time job.
Other athletes in the bus can be heard laughing at Didal’s acting.
Didal arrived in Cebu City on Tuesday, September 4, after bagging a gold medal in women’s skateboarding during the recently concluded Asian Games in Indonesia.
She was welcomed by her father and mother at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
Didal said she hopes that the money she would receive would help her family get a more comfortable life. Her father works as a carpenter while her mother works as a street hawker.
