The Pakistani Consulate honored the efforts of the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police in rescuing a Pakistani family after their car got stuck in a mountainous slope in the northern emirate.
Authorities said the three-member family, composed of father, mother and son, was traversing the area when their car got stuck precariously and started to slip off a slope.
“As soon as the communication reached the police Ras Al Khaimah, ambulances and rescue vehicles moved to provide the necessary support, took out the vehicle and rescued all members of the family,” RAK Police said in an Instagram post.
“Their car was stuck in a tough area where it was so difficult to reach or tow back,” said Brigadier Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, director-general of the central operations department of RAK Police, as reported by the Khaleej Times.
After the rescue, the Pakistani Consulate extended its gratitude towards RAK Police.
“His Excellency Brigadier General Abdullah Khamis Al Hadidi praised the initiative of thanks and appreciation to the Consulate General of Pakistan and all those responsible for it,” RAK Police also stated in their Instagram post.
