Last month, reports have surfaced announcing that Pacquiao had already chosen to fight Mathysse over former world champion Danny Garcia.
The initial target date for the fight was June 24.
Mathysse, a Golden Boy promoted boxer, hails from Argentina. He has held the WBA welterweight title since January 2018.
