Kuwait’s armed forces said Thursday they intercepted three ballistic missiles, one cruise missile and 10 hostile drones detected in the country’s airspace.
The Ministry of Defence said the threats were successfully intercepted and neutralized before they reached their intended targets.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Col. Saud Al-Atwan said debris from the intercepted missiles and drones caused material damage in several locations.
One person was injured by the falling debris and is receiving medical treatment. Authorities said the individual is in stable condition.
The ministry did not immediately identify the source of the missiles and drones but said the armed forces remain on high alert as regional tensions continue.
