Dani Barretto fires back at Dennis Padilla over podcast remark: ‘Enough is enough’

Businesswoman and celebrity Dani Barretto responded strongly to actor Dennis Padilla after the latter commented on her guest appearance in Kylie Verzosa’s Almost Honest podcast, saying he would “answer point by point” to her statements.

In the podcast episode, Barretto spoke about growing up witnessing emotional turmoil in their household, without naming individuals directly. She recalled episodes of shouting and tension during her childhood, saying these experiences left a lasting impact.

“Mga bata kami noon, but that stayed with us,” she said in the interview.

The clip was later posted on Instagram by the podcast, where Padilla left a comment indicating he intended to respond to her statements.

“I will answer point by point,” he wrote.

Hours later, Barretto publicly replied through a lengthy comment, recalling what she described as similar experiences at home and accusing her former stepfather of distorting past events.

I think you’re forgetting we all lived in the same house. That we woke up to your screams almost every morning. Kung hindi si mom sinisigawan mo, one of the help. This is what you always do, use social media to ‘defend’ yourself and spread more lies and gaslight your children and now me,” she wrote.

She further claimed that he would allegedly call his children late at night while intoxicated, only to shout at them.

“Di ba tatawag ka sa mga anak mo… para murahin at sigawan mo lang sila? Enough is enough,” she said.

Barretto also asserted that strained relationships between Padilla and his children stemmed from repeated broken ties.

“All your kids know who you are… Because you burned bridges with each of them,” she added.

As of writing, Padilla has not issued a public response to Barretto’s statements. Barretto’s comment has since been deleted, though screenshots continue to circulate online, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.
