Health authorities have outlined that pregnant women, as well as individuals who have had severe reactions to other vaccine jabs, are not eligible for the ongoing COVID-19 vaccine drive in the UAE.
Residents have started to queue up to receive the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine used in the #4Humanity trials across public and private health institutions in the UAE since it was approved by the Ministry of Health and Prevention last December 9.

Any person holding a valid Emirates ID who is above 18 years of age are eligible, with a few exceptions.
Here’s the official list of those who are not eligible to take the vaccine, as seen in the website from VPS healthcare (www.covidvaccineuae.com) that began providing the jab to residents as of December 12:
– People on Clinical Trial Vaccination are not eligible
– People with a History of severe COVID 19 who were admitted in ICU & who needed Oxygenation are not eligible
– Pregnant women are not eligible for vaccination
– Previously severe reactions to vaccinations are not applicable
– Any vaccination taken less than 1 month ago
– Post Delivery 3 months
– Recent history of Convulsions, Epilepsy, mental illness
– Positive Urine Pregnancy Test on same day

Walk-ins are allowed although it may take up more than one hour.
