‘Rolly” (international name: Goni), dubbed as the world’s strongest typhoon for 2020 having had Albay and Camarines Sur placed under warning signal number 5, has weakened and is no longer classified as a super typhoon, according to the latest bulletin of Pagasa.
As of the 11 a.m. (Sunday) update of the weather bureau, ‘Rolly’ is now off the coast of Pasacao, Camarines Sur. The center of the typhoon was spotted over its coastal area.
Meanwhile, based on the 10 a.m. (Sunday) update of Pagasa, another typhoon Siony has slightly intensified as it entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
Between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Sunday), the center of the typhoon ‘Rolly’ is poised to move toward 70 km south of Metro Manila.

Earlier, Pagasa said ‘Rolly’ is moving westward the Philippine area of responsibility at a speed of 25km/h with maximum sustained winds of 225 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 310 km/h, PAGASA said in its latest weather bulletin.
It is forecast to exit the mainland Luzon between tonight and tomorrow early morning. As it crosses the Southern Luzon, it is expected to weaken, but it will emerge as a typhoon over the West Philippine Sea.
