The Department of Health in the Philippines has confirmed that Filipinos who will be repatriated from Hubei province in China will be using New Clark City as its official quarantine area.
The area was the former athlete’s village used during the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

“We have finalized the protocols and procedures to be implemented for the repatriation of overseas Filipinos coming from Hubei province, China,” Duque said in a briefing.
During the quarantine period, one room will be allotted per person to ensure patient safety and convenience.
The room can also accommodate a family of three. The quarantine rooms will be air-conditioned and will have televisions within each room.

OFWs who will be exhibiting symptoms will be immediately admitted to the nearest hospital.
Those who will be asymptomatic will be quarantined for 14 days.
“Repatriated Filipinos will be discharged after the 14-day quarantine period,” Duque said.
The Health Chief added that they will treat the OFWs with dignity and respect. The OFWs from China are expected to arrive on Sunday.
