Emirates Airline says no decision made yet regarding job cuts

Contrary to an earlier media report, Emirates Airline said it has not made any announcement stating that there will be massive job cuts in the company.
 
In response to a report from Bloomberg about the airline reducing its workforce by 30,000, Emirates said that preserving skilled workforce remains one of it top priorities, along with conserving cash and safeguarding the business.
 
According to a spokesperson from the airline, all costs and business projections will be assessed and reviewed in detail as the company prepares for gradual resumption of operations and service.
 
“No announcement has been made regarding mass redundancies at the airline. Any such decision will be communicated in an appropriate fashion,” said the spokesperson.
