DMW, Saudi Arabia strengthen cooperation for OFW protection

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation on the protection and welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), particularly on safe, fair, and ethical recruitment and deployment practices.

Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac met with Saudi Ambassador Faisal Ebraheem Alghamdi in Manila to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral labor cooperation.

The meeting focused on improving recruitment standards and ensuring better safeguards for Filipino workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The initiative aligns with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to strengthen relations with countries hosting large numbers of Filipino workers and to continuously uphold the protection and welfare of OFWs worldwide.
