DMW provides repatriation assistance to distressed OFW in California

The Migrant Workers Office staff in Los Angeles, California, extends assistance to distressed OFW (DMW/FB)

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Los Angeles, California, in collaboration with the Office of the Police Attaché – Liaison Office in the U.S. West Coast (OPA-LOWC), extended repatriation assistance to a distressed overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Los Angeles.

The OFW had endured multiple severe hardships, including job termination, previous workplace bullying, financial struggles, and depression following a recent family death.

Through the DMW AKSYON Fund, the distressed worker received support to return home to the Philippines, where he can reunite with his family and begin a new chapter in his life.

Labor Attaché Macy Monique Maglanque emphasized that the OFW had expressed a strong desire for a fresh start in the Philippines. ”

Today, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac granted this wish, which was made possible through the DMW AKSYON Fund,” she said.
