Search and rescue teams in Umm Al Quwain were able to recover the body of a person who reportedly drowned in the emirate.
In a report on the Gulf Today, Major General Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Commander-in-Chief of Umm Al Quwain Police, spearheaded the search and rescue efforts.
The person drowned while swimming at Al Bayt Al Mitwahid Corniche in Umm Al Quwain, according to the official.

The national ambulance and police patrols went to the location and learned that four people of different nationalities went for a swim in the area.
One of the individuals nearly drowned but was rescued in time by the authorities and was sent to Umm Al Quwain Hospital to receive treatment.
However, another person in their group went missing.

The Dubai Police, the Civil Defence Department in Umm Al Quwain and a number of volunteer diving teams were looked for the missing person.
The man was found on Wednesday at the Naqaa area. (TDT)
