The Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District is set to open to the public this November 10, Tuesday as Abu Dhabi’s newest tourist destination.
Earlier, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, toured Al Hudayriat Recreational Project, a waterfront community on the 3,000-hectare Hudayriyat Island, south-west of the Abu Dhabi main island.
A video from the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office shows several areas that visitors can pre-book at https://www.hudayriyatisland.ae/ to enjoy the multi-attraction venue.
The Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District facilities include:
Bab Al Nojoum. Glamping for groups of 2-6.
OCR Park. The UAE’s largest permanent obstacle course
Marsana. Vibrant waterfront promenade with food and beverage outlets (no pre-booking required)
The Hudayriyat Heritage Trail. Waterfront trail connecting visitors with nature in tranquility.
Sports321. Sports pitches, jogging tracks, and a range of indoor fitness facilities.
Circuit X. Adventure hub offering 4 exhilarating experiences including: BMX Track, Splash Park, High Rope Park, and Skate Park.
The Hudayriyat Recreational Project is the second such leisure destination after the Jubail Mangrove Park announced late last year by Modon Properties as part of a series of entertainment schemes aimed at representing a shift in the leisure offerings within the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
“Al Hudayriat project and other similar developments represent a qualitative addition that reinforces Abu Dhabi’s status on the global tourist map,” Sheikh Mohamed said, noting the importance of continuing to introduce such projects in convenient locations that are easy to reach for the public, while fulfilling the divergent needs of the society.
