A 16-year-old boy succumbed serious injuries after a speeding car ran over him while he was crossing the road in Sharjah’s Al Nahda area.
Investigation showed that the vehicle was speeding when the boy was hit.
Sharjah Police dispatched rescue team, ambulances and traffic patrols in the area.
The teenager had to undergo urgent operation to fix his fractured shoulder.
He was transferred to intensive care unit for further treatment.
Sharjah Police are tracking the erring driver.
