10 more passengers of quarantined Japanese cruise ship positive for coronavirus

Ten more people onboard the quarantined cruise ship docked at Yokohama tested positive for the novel coronavirus, NHK reported Thursday.
Japanese Health Ministry said the results came from 71 slab tests from passengers.
The confirmed cases will be transferred to hospitals in Kanagawa prefecture.
The ten confirmed cases bring the total number of infected people in Japan to 45 as of Thursday morning.
The Diamond Princess cruise ship was placed under quarantine after an 80-year-old man who disembarked in Hong Kong last month tested positive for novel coronavirus (2019-nCOv ARD).
Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo said they are monitoring the conditions of 538 Filipinos on board the quarantined cruise liner.
In a statement, the embassy said it is in constant communication with the Filipinos remaining onboard and is closely coordinating with Japanese authorities to provide them all possible assistance.
