The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported on January 12, 2020 a hailstorm in Ras Al Khaimah.
The center reported that the emirate has been experiencing non-stop rain for the past two days, and that hailstorm has been experienced by some residents particularly in Al Tawain area.

On January 11, NCM has projected freezing rain or snow in some of the mountainous areas in the UAE.
A video submitted by Barbie Angel Atillo showed hail blanketing some roads in Ras Al Khaimah
Another video submitted by Deo Blanco also shows the hailstorm ongoing in the emirate.
According to a report by Khaleej Times, another hailstorm has been reported in Umm Al Quwain.
