Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere to push advocacy on children’s education

French beauty queen Iris Mittenaere, who won the Miss Universe crown on Monday, has just become a role model for women who push for their advocacies.

Mittenarae wants to put all her effort into making sure children from around the world will get the quality education they deserve, reported GMA News.

Mittenarae reportedly said she wants to expand her charity that provides health guidance and proper feeding program to a program that will make education more accessible to everyone.

“I will be a dentist in two years. I have a charity for teaching children how to eat properly. But now that I’m representing the Miss Universe, and I want to do more than that. I really want to bring all the children to school… I think this is really the most important—education for every child, especially for young women,” she said in a press conference shortly after the coronation event. She cannot wait to travel the world, meet new people, and be “a good Miss Universe.”

“I had the chance to live in France and go to school every morning, and I think every children should have this chance, too,” she was quoted as saying.
Mittenarae also reportedly expressed her gratitude to the Filipino people who have been a great audience in the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
“Thank you to all the Filipinos. You are just exceptional. You are so welcoming and lovely to us. It was amazing. I think all of the girls during the pageant loved you,” GMA News quoted her as saying.
