Have your seafood feast at Max’s Restaurant

Bringing the best of the sea to the table, Max’s presents five popular seafood delicacies prepared in true Filipino style with an international touch. In an exclusive tasting session with The Filipino Times, Henry Suarez, Max’s GCC executive chef served their bestselling seafood specials.

From the juicy sugpo to the meaty alimasag and tahong, and fresh hammour, there’s no doubt Max’s has just made seafood lovers’ wish come true. According to Chef Suarez, the seafood dishes included in the new menu has been derived from every customer’s long due request. “Since launching the new seafood special menu in the last three weeks, we have served more than 3,000 portions.

The feedback has been very overwhelming and we have not only tapped the Filipino taste buds but also of other nationalities – that has always been the goal,” he said. For crab lovers, the black pepper blue sea crab is a must-try. This quickfry fresh black pepper blue sea crab tossed in homemade black pepper sauce is tasty and truly appetizing. The chili garlic tiger prawns on the other hand is the yummier version of the usual buttered shrimps. This wokfried prawn in sweet, chili, garlic and oyster sauce is flavorful and savory.

The sweet-and-sour deep fried hammour on the other hand has a fruity flavour, thanks to the distinct taste of the pineapples. Another best seller is the grilled squid stuffed with chopped prawn, onion and tomato, served with chili and lemon soy dip. The fresh squid meat and the subtle taste of all the other ingredients perfectly blend well. And lastly, the sauteed mussels, an answered prayer for most foodies, is appetizing.

The mussels, imported from Holland, has this perfect taste that goes well with lemongrass, ginger, cherry tomatoes, green chili and Thai sweet basil leaves. Aside from the good reception of the seafood special menu, Max’s Restaurant is also celebrating its fifth year anniversary in the Middle East. Five years ago, on Sept. 4, 2011, Max’s opened its doors to the Middle East with its first restaurant in Karama, Dubai.

To celebrate this, Max’s Karama invites all to join the festivities on Friday, September 2. The theme of the day will be “Come Home To Max’s,” where guests will be entertained by a magician, a photo-booth and fun activities like face -ainting and balloon bending for the kids. In addition, a special anniversary cake will be cut at all 6 UAE restaurants. Festivities begin at 12 noon.
