LOOK: San Miguel Corporation gives sneak peak of proposed ‘New Manila International Airport’

San Miguel Holdings Corporation gave the public a glimpse of its proposed ‘New Manila International Airport in Bulacan.

The country’s upcoming aviation hub is expected to cater hundreds of millions of passengers every year, and will double the capacity of the current Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

San Miguel Holdings Corporation bagged the Php735 billion contract to construct the new airport, which is expected to ease congestion at NAIA.

“It will make the lives of many air passengers balikbayans, OFWs, tourists, so much better and easier,” SMC president and COO Ramon Ang said in a statement.

“With four parallel runways planned, it targets 240 aircraft movements per hour,” the DOTr said in a statement.

“The project will also include the construction of an 8.4-kilometer tollway connecting the airport to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Marilao, Bulacan,” the Transportation Department added.
