A Filipina domestic worker in Hong Kong died over the weekend after she hanged herself inside her employer’s flat.
In a report by Hong Kong News, police identified the 37-year-old Filipina as “Elen” who worked at 11 Hoi Fai Road.
The spokesman for Police Public Relations Branch said she was found hanging inside her room in her employer’s flat on Saturday (Nov. 2, 2019).
It was her employer who called the police at around 10:35 a.m. after seeing her hanging with a towel around her neck.
Investigators and emergency response team were able to bring her to the Kwong Wah hospital in Yau Ma Tei but she later died t 11:10a.m.
A police official said their initial investigation saw nothing suspicious surrounding the death ofthe Filipina but assured that an autopsy will still be conducted.
