LOOK: Bay Area to become ‘next big thing’ for businesses, commerce in Metro Manila

The Bay Area, the massive reclamation project straddling the cities of Manila, Parañaque and Pasay, is now seen by developers as “the next big thing” in real estate with its highly premium location that offers investment opportunities for both local and foreign locators.

According to Joey Roi Bondoc, research manager at Colliers International Philippines, said that proximity and connectivity to world-class infrastructure projects both completed and in the pipeline – including the Skyway, NAIA Expressway, Sangley Airport, Light Rail Transit (LRT) 1 Cavite Extension, Sangley Airport, and Metro Manila subway – has made The Bay Area as the newest emerging gateway and business district in the country’s financial center.

Strong demand driven by Chinese gaming firms has also made the area attractive for many developers, especially in those engaging in residential, commercial and entertainment businesses, reported Inquirer.

Proximity to the provinces of Cavite and Laguna means that businesses will be able to tap skilled and professional labor pool.

At present, the premier gateway to Metro Manila is host to worldclass establishments like SM Mall of Asia, Solaire Resort & Casino, Okada Manila, City of Dream and other Grade A commercial and office buildings and upscale residential towers.
