Filipino nurses, caregivers wanted in Japan

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration is eyeing to deploy 350 healthcare workers to Japan.

Currently there are 50 slots for nursing position and 300 for caregiver position, as per the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Those who are interested for the nurse positions must be able to pass the nursing licensure examination in Japan, while for the caregiver positions, candidates should undergo an language training for six months.

For the nursing and caregiver positions respectively, applicants must have at least 3 years hospital experience, and have TESDA care worker certification.

“The candidate-nurses to be hired shall first complete a six-month onsite Japanese language training and thereafter undergo on-the-job training at their respective hospitals,” DOLE said.

The deadline for application is until April 30.
