A 59-year-old Asian who was riding a bicycle met his demise after being run over by a vehicle on the Red Island road in Ras Al Khaimah, February 25.

In an article of Emaratalyoum, the victim reportedly cut off the road and was hit by the vehicle driven by an Arab, 30.

The victim suffered severe injuries that led to his death.

Col. Ahmad Al-Deem Al Naqbi, Head of Traffic and Patrol Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, told the report that they received a message about the accident.

Traffic and ambulance immediately rushed to the scene.

They saw the victim 59 meters away from the accident site, which could mean that he was either dragged down the highway or the force of the impact was strong that he was thrown meters away.

Al Naqbi urged drivers to pay extra attention while behind the wheel as well as other road users to make sure that the road is clear of vehicles before crossing.
