Within less than 24 hours, Dubai Police netted the four-member gang of robbers who stole Dh4 million from an armored car in Rashidiya area.
Through ‘Operation Perfidy’, the authorities arrested all the four suspects. They were able to recover the huge amount of stolen cash.
The operation was formed immediately after the police was informed about the robbery.
Details about when the incident happened was not disclosed.
One of the suspects nabbed was an employee of the money transport firm. He sped off when his two other co-employees got off work.
Brigadier Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), told Gulf News: “The criminal data analysis center provided vital information to our field teams on the gang’s whereabouts.”
