The getaway vehicle of nine robbers overloaded with stolen construction materials got stuck in sand and led to their arrest.
The group assaulted the security guard in the construction site to break in, reported Khaleej Times.
However, their vehicle got stuck in the soft part of the road while attempting to flee the scene on March 21, 2018.
Thinking that it would be clever to just leave the vehicle, the robbers’ plan to avoid landing in hot water fell apart.
The getaway vehicle used gave the police a hint where to track them. Within days, they all landed in jail.
Initially, they admitted to committing the crime as per the report, but during the hearing on November 25, they pleaded not guilty.
