The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) will give away more than 60 free plane tickets to expats and UAE nationals who want to bring their loved ones to the UAE – this includes overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who want to bring their families to Dubai for a quick vacation.

Expats and UAE nationals have to post an online video or pictures which show their positive experiences in Dubai and why they love calling the city as their home.

Users can post the videos and images on different social media platforms such as Twitter, and Instagram with #MyDubai and #MyInvite. The posts must also be public to qualify.

For Facebook users, meanwhile, they can send in their entries to the MyDubai Facebook page.

Each week, Dubai Tourism will select two winners every week who will receive two free plane tickets courtesy of Emirates which would allow their loved ones to fly to UAE from their home countries. Winners cannot use the tickets.

The competition runs from October 15, 2018 to January 31, 2019.

“The passion for the emirate that exists among both UAE nationals and the communities of more than 200 nationalities living here is a key driver of Dubai’s success,” noted Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Marketing.

“These residents take pride in posting about their experiences in the city, sharing special moments from Dubai with the world. The best advocates of a city are the people who live in it,” Kazim added.
