PCOO Assistant Sec. Mocha Uson resigns

Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson has resigned from her post on Wednesday, October 3.

Uson made the announcement during the budget hearing of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) at the Senate.

Her resignation came in the wake of controversies that caused lawmakers, citizens’ groups and netizens to call her to step down.

She, together with her blogger friend Drew Olivar, got involved in several blunder including a video of them singing and dancing to a lewd chant about federalism and another one wherein they mocked the sign language.

Both Uson and Olivar apologized for mocking the sign language after several groups have complained about it.

Uson was first appointed to work as the Assistant Secretary for Social Media of the PCOO in May 2017.
