Another batch of OFWs from Dubai returns to Manila today

A total of 112 undocumented overseas Filipino workers from Dubai have returned to the Philippines on September 10.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said that the fifth batch of repatriates boarded Philippine Airlines flight PR 659 and landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal two at around 8:30 AM (PH Time), reported RMN.

All in all, four batches of OFWs from Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and another batch from Abu Dhabi have already returned to the Philippines ever since the UAE government began its three-month long amnesty program.

All repatriates received financial assistance from the Philippine government with the Philippine Consulate shouldering their exit fines and air plane tickets.

They were also given cash aid worth P5,000 each.

More batches of undocumented OFWs are expected to return to the Philippines during the duration of the amnesty program which will end on October 31.
