Emirates hailed as world’s best airline

Emirates airline was hailed as the “World’s Best Airline for Long Haul Holiday” and “World’s Best Business Airline” by the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards.

The award was based on votes from Condé Nast Traveller readers’ which were collected from March 4 to May 3, 2018.

Aside from Emirates, runner-ups for both categories were also given recognition – British Airways for the ‘Best Airline – Long Haul Holiday’ category, and Singapore Airlines for the ‘Best Business Airline’ category.

Richard Jewsbury, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President- United Kingdom collected the awards on behalf of Emirates at the London Ceremony and said: “We are honoured to have been recognised by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller as one of the world’s best airlines. We are committed to delivering the best possible experience both in the air and on the ground for our customers, by continually raising the bar with our product offering and exceeding our passengers’ expectations.

“We are very happy that both business and leisure travellers continue to choose Emirates as their airline of choice,” Jewsbury added.

In July, Emirates remained as the top UAE-based airline company and was hailed as one of the best airlines in the world, according to the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards in London.

The awards are based on surveys of more than 20 million travellers, who rated more than 335 airlines between August 2017 and May 2018.

Emirates Airlines ranked 4th in three categories namely World’s Best Airlines for 2018, Best Economy Class, and Best Business Class.
