A gang of 17 men was arrested by the Sharjah Police after the owner of a warehouse reported them breaking into his property and assaulting the security guard.
The Asian gang also robbed money and two phones from the security guard.
Most of them are reportedly staying in the UAE illegally.
Lt. Colonel Mohammed Hassan Al-Shamsi, head of the criminal investigations department of the Sharjah Police said on Twitter that the gang steals equipment from warehouses and under-construction buildings.
All the gang members were arrested and confessed to the crime. They admitted that they sell the stolen equipment to a dealer who also got arrested by the police.
