The UAE Cabinet announced on Saturday, August 11, a one-week holiday for workers in government ministries and departments in celebration of Eid Al Adha.
The holiday will begin on August 19, Sunday, and will last until August 23, Thursday. Work resumes on August 26, Sunday, reported WAM.

The announcement was made following the declaration of the the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia that Eid Al Adha will fall on August 21 with the the month of Zul Hijjah beginning on August 12, Sunday.
The government has yet to announce the holiday dates for workers in the private sector, however, a five-day holiday is expected to be announced soon.
Workers are advised to wait for official announcements from the government.
