Emirates among world’s best airlines in 2018

Dubai’s flagship airline, Emirates, remains as the top UAE-based airline company and was hailed as one of the best airlines in the world, according to the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards in London

The awards are based on surveys of more than 20 million travellers, who rated more than 335 airlines between August 2017 and May 2018.

Emirates Airlines ranked 4th in three categories namely World’s Best Airlines for 2018, Best Economy Class, and Best Business Class.

Singapore Airlines took the top spot ousting Qatar Airlines which ranked second this year.

Here’s the full list of the World’s Best Airlines for 2018:

  1. Singapore Airlines
  2. Qatar Airways
  3. ANA All Nippon Airways
  4. Emirates
  5. EVA Air
  6. Cathay Pacific Airways
  7. Lufthansa
  8. Hainan Airlines
  9. Garuda Indonesia
  10. Thai Airways

In April, travel planning website TripAdvisor hailed Emirates as the best UAE-based airline and the third best airline company in the world this year during TripAdvisor’s 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards.

Emirates’ special fares to Manila, Cebu, and other top destinations

Emirates airlines on Monday, July 16, kicked off special fare offers to passengers who wish to travel to Manila, Cebu, and other top destinations in the world.

Passengers can avail of roundtrip economy seat tickets from Dubai to Manila as low as Dh2,065 while roundtrip economy seats for Cebu cost as low as Dh2,335.

Business class seats for flights bound to Manila are also offered at Dh8,395.

The offer applies to bookings made starting July 16, until July 23 while travel dates are until September 2018 or May 2019, depending on the destination.
