Abu Dhabi Crown Prince OKs Dh50 billion economic stimulus package

In line with goals of ramping up Abu Dhabi’s economic growth in the next three years, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has issued a Dh50 billion economic stimulus package for the UAE’s capital.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi has ordered the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council to map out an execution plan for the economic package in a span of 90 days.

In his official Twitter account, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said the economic initiative shall be utilized to develop the local economy of Abu Dhabi in a bid to create an attractive investment environment.

“The new economic initiatives and incentives cover ease of doing business, supporting new sectors, developing SMEs, stimulating tourism, developing local economy & creating jobs, so as to build a unique investment environment that enhances Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness,” the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi said in the post.


HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed likewise announced the rollout of a directive aimed at conducting a careful review of infrastructure and residential properties which is seen to cut costs for citizens, residents and investors alike.

He has also ordered for the creation of about 10,000 jobs for Emiratis in both the public and private sectors in the next five years.
