Actual CCTV footage obtained by Slovakian media website “Aktuality” sheds light on how overseas Filipino worker Henry John Acorda was beaten to death by suspect Juraj Hossu at Business Street in downtown Bratislava, Slovakia, in the early hours of May 26.
The Filipino was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead last May 31, five days after the incident, at the University Hospital Ruźjnov after sustaining fatal injuries in the altercation.
In the graphic footage below, the 36-year-old Henry can be seen walking at 4:34 am with his Filipina friend, who was reportedly being sexually harassed by the Slovak suspect.
Hossu suddenly pushes Henry to the ground, gives him a fatal kick in the head that knocks the Filipino unconscious in an instant.
Henry could no longer move his body but the suspect still punches the defenseless Filipino twice in the face.
The suspect places his right foot on Henry’s chest, takes out his mobile phone, and then takes a photograph/video of him.

The Filipina friend of Henry tries to get near him, but Hossu pushes her away.
About two minutes later, two men and a woman pass by the area, try to revive the Filipino, and confront Hossu.
A police patrol arrives at the crime scene 4:39 am, with one of them rushing towards Henry to give first aid.
It was only after 15 minutes when the ambulance arrive to rush the Filipino to the hospital.
The Acorda family said they were supposed to fly to Slovakia to have a family reunion. However, it was Henry’s death that welcomed them.
The incident sparked outrage from both the Filipino and Slovak communities there.
Support and prayers on streets in Bratislava poured in for Henry and his family.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in a statement, said it is assisting the family who flew to Slovakia to watch over Henry, and facilitating the repatriation of his remains to the Philippines.
The Philippine Consulate there is also discussing the case with local lawyers, DFA said.
“We give our assurance to Henry’s family that we will do everything to make sure that those responsible for his death are brought to justice,” Foreign Affairs Alan Peter Cayetano said.
