Emirati donates Dh100,000 to help free inmates

An Emirati philanthropist donated Dh100,000 to help free prisoners in celebration of the Year of Zayed and the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Dubai Police received the money from Yaquob Al Ali who wished to help prisoners who are not able to pay off their debts.

Al Ali donated the money to spread kindness and generosity during the Ramadan season for prisoners who want to celebrate the holy season with their families.

Brigadier Mohammad Abdullah Al Murr, Director of Human Rights at Dubai Police, commended Al Ali’s generosity and his efforts to help establish social solidarity in the UAE.

Al Murr said he hopes the philanthropist’s action will encourage other individuals and organizations contribute to UAE’s humanitarian efforts.

Last year, another Emirati donated Dh100,000 to help prisoners with minor debts.

Saeed Yousuf Al Beloushi gave the check from a person who wanted to remain anonymous to Al Murr.
