DFA to open main office on Saturdays for passport applications

Starting February 10, 2018, passport applicants can now schedule their passport appointments every Saturday at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)-Aseana from 8am – 5pm.

Applicants are encouraged to book their appointment via DFA’s Online Appointment System.

DFA reminded everyone that walk-in applicants will not be entertained and no courtesy lane facility will be made available on Satudays.

Services such as Authentication and Consular records will also be unavailable.

However, mall-based DFA Regional and Satellite offices every Saturday will continue to accommodate non-passport services and courtesy lane facilities.

The passport fee remains at P1,200.00.

This initiative is in line with the DFA’s target to meet the huge demand of applicants for the 10-year passport validity.

The Passport on Wheels and the weekly Mobile Passport Service are still ongoing.

Soon, the DFA will inaugurate eight (8) new Consular offices in provinces and cities that will implement an e-payment system.
