Arroyo said that during her term, Hanjin was among the companies that invested billions of dollars in the country.

In addition, President Rodrigo Duterte called on Hanjin officials to protect the welfare of Filipino craftsmen. In turn, he promised to take care of the company in the Philippines as long as it continues to protect its Filipinos workers.

The gigantic vessel, named after the French author Antoine de Saint Exupery is 400 meters long, 59 meters wide, and 33 meters deep. It can carry up to 20,950 units of 40-foot shipping container, and its deck is equivalent to four football fields.
