UAE hailed as 2nd most trusted gov’t in the world

The United Arab Emirates was hailed as the second most trusted government in the world.

Based on the survey results by New York-based Edelman Trust Barometer, the UAE government placed second in the list after gaining 77 points trust indicator for government and public institutions.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to Twitter to laud the achievement made by the UAE government.

“For 7 years, our government is at the top of the rankings. Trust gained through years of work, construction and giving. Confidence is our greatest asset and our greatest achievement,” he tweeted.

China was ranked first after gaining 84 points, while the United States of America government has the “steepest ever measured”.

The survey was conducted to over 33,000 respondents across 28 countries from October 28 to November 20 last year.
