DUBAI—Despite heavy rainfall and cloudy skies in some areas in the UAE since Friday, residents took to social media to express their delight over the weather condition, saying it has been a long time since they’ve had rain in the country.

National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCM) released a statement this morning, notifying the residents about the current weather condition in the country.

According to its post, the instability of rainfall and cloud activities will decrease later this evening. However, fresh winds, fogs, and thunders are still expected to show.
Authorities already reached out to the citizens reminding them of the danger and risks of enjoying the heavy rainfall outside their homes.

They have also warned motorcyclists and riders to be extra careful and take necessary precautions to prevent accidents in this wet weather.
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development has already coordinated with local authorities to manage traffic, road activities, and ensure the safety of the public.
