PH recruitment firm helps OFWs find jobs back home

About 60 percent of Filipino professionals working overseas interviewed by Robert Walters Philippines, a London-based recruitment firm, have expressed interest in finally coming home given the right opportunity and compensation in the Philippines.

“Some of them realized that there [is] no reason to be based abroad […] to be far from family and so we are talking to them and we are sharing to them the opportunities that we have now,” GMA News quoted Robert Walters Philippines country manager Eric Mary as saying.

The good news is that, according to the recruitment firm that helps overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) match their skills with job opportunities in the Philippines, a growing number of companies across the country are continuously signifying intentions to hiring Filipinos with international exposure.

“More and more employers are looking for local talents who have an international exposure and this is a good time for overseas Filipino with the right skills and international experience to return home to work,” Mary said.

The recruitment firm official said that they have head-hunters abroad who conduct interviews with OFWs under their  “Balik Bayan” campaign.

“There is the right company, there is the right professional perspective, there’s a quite attractive salary as well, the best option is to come back,” Mary said.

Those who signify interest and qualify are interviewed via Skype by prospective employers. So far, Mary said, many job matches have successful.
