UAE to welcome Philippine property heavyweights in the biggest Philippine economic and investment forum in the region

Buoyed by rapidly rising international interest in investments in the Philippines, the PPIE will host its fifth edition as it opens on September 22-23 at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai, with over 3,500 expected attendees.

The longest-running and the most-trusted Philippine economic and investment forum in the UAE will offer a diverse range of investment options in real estate along with expert guidance and assistance for funding, catering to the strong interest among OFs as well as investors from other countries.

This year’s PPIE has a stellar line-up of top officials, decision-makers, entrepreneurs and experts including His Excellency Constancio Vingno, Jr., Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, who will deliver the opening remarks; His Excellency Paul Raymund Cortes, Philippine Consul General, Dubai and the Northern Emirates,  who will talk about Philippine Economy and Tourism; and  Hon. Eric Elnar, Commercial Attaché, Philippine Trade and Investment Center, who will share insights on foreign investments boosting the Philippine real estate industry.

During the show, Jaime Ysmael, Chief Executive Officer and President at Ortigas and Company, will talk about Philippine Economic Outlook. Thomas Mirasol, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Ortigas and Company, who has been a pioneer in promoting the Philippines as a preferred investment destination and spearheaded expansion of the country’s real estate presence around the world, will also be present at the event.

The strong growth of its economy is driving a keen interest from investors from across the world in the Philippines real estate. According to World Bank projections, Philippines will be the second fastest growing economy in East Asia and the Pacific this year.

The Philippine economy grew an annual 6.5 percent in the second quarter of 2017, beating expectations and is expected to advance between 6.5 to 7.5 percent in 2017, up from 6.9 percent in 2016. At 7.9 per cent, real estate was among the highest growing sectors of the economy.
