UAE residents, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), could soon have a new go-to place during weekends.

Emaar Properties will soon start the construction of Dubai Hills Mall, which is set for operations in late 2019.

Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties, said the soon-to-rise establishment could be a spot where people of all ages could unwind and relax.

“Integrating advanced technology features with the principles of regional mall, it will be a socially and culturally inspiring space for people, young and old, residents and visitors to meet, connect and relax,” Alabbar said in a statement.

Here’s what you should expect about the upcoming mega-development project:

As fancy as existing shopping centers in Dubai

Expect no less from Emaar, the developer behind iconic retail centers The Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Souk Al Bahar, and Gold and Diamond Park. Dubai Hills Mall will house 750 retail, food, and beverage outlets on its 2 million square feet of leasable space.

Ideal for family hangouts

The mall will feature a 20-screen cinema, where families can bond over a movie date, as well as an outdoor concert area. Families can also take advantage of the mall’s 65,000-sq-ft hypermarket, where mall-goers can collect easy finds.

Shops and paradise combined

The mall’s interior could surely spark up guests Instagram feeds as it will provide the ambiance of a central courtyard. The developer added its exteriors could also serve as a perfect spot to host social and cultural gathering.

Easily accessible

Located in Dubai Hills State, which is on the corner of Al Khail Road and Umm Suqeim street, the establishment will be accessible from Downtown Dubai, Emirates Hills, Dubai Marina, and other Arabian Ranches. Its parking spaces could accommodate up to 7,000 vehicles. Emaar also plans to link the shopping center to a Metro station.
